Ivonne M.C.M. Rietjens is full professor and head of the division of Toxicology at Wageningen University (WU), The Netherlands. She is member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) and of many national and international committees. She has been promotor of 92 PhD students (26 ongoing). She is author of over 400 scientific publications and has a h‐factor (WoS) of 47. Major topics of research focus on risk assessment of natural toxins, physiologically based kinetic (PBK) models for low dose and in vitro to in vivo extrapolation, alternative methods for animal testing, and development of mode‐of action based bioassays.
