Francisco Javier Luque is full professor at the Department of Nutrition, Food Sciences and Gastronomy of the University of Barcelona, where he has recently moved his research group. He is leading the research group in Computational Biology and Drug Design at the Faculty of Pharmacy. The group also pertains to the Institute of Biomedicine and the Institute of Theoretical and Computational Chemistry.His research is mainly devoted to the study of structure, dynamics and function of biomolecules, and the analysis of biomolecular interactions, with particular emphasis paid to the design of bioactive compounds (drug design).
